Extensive upgrade and renovation of business lounges in the United States. Alaska Air Group is establishing two new premium lounge complexes at Honolulu and Seattle airports, two key hubs of the group's international operations.

Hawaiian Airlines began work this month on a new 1,200-square-meter lounge in Honolulu. The lounge will be located at the entrance to the Mauka Concourse at Honolulu International Airport and will be able to accommodate approximately 200 passengers. It is scheduled to open in the first half of 2028.

The new complex will feature locally inspired food and beverages, locally sourced coffee, a cocktail bar, private work areas and seating areas. The design will incorporate artwork and motifs from Hawaiian culture and landscape. The project is part of the Kahuʻewai Hawaiʻi Investment Plan, under which the group is committing to investing more than $600 million in upgrading the travel experience to, from and within the islands, including upgrading airport infrastructure and renovating the company’s aircraft interiors.

Also Renewing in Seattle

At the same time, work continues in Seattle on a new Alaska Airlines lounge complex, covering an area of almost 3,800 square meters, in Concourse C at Seattle-Tacoma Airport.

The complex is expected to open in late 2027 and will include two lounges: the Alaska Lounge with approximately 500 seats and the Aurora Lounge with approximately 200 seats, intended for Aurora Suites guests and eligible passengers on long-haul international flights.

The Seattle complex is planned to include, among other things, an outdoor terrace with a fireplace, private workstations, wellness areas, bars, a coffee lab, fresh pastries, a pizza oven, and luxurious showers in the Aurora Lounge.

The complex will be the largest in Alaska Airlines' lounge network, joining other investments by the group, including a new lounge in Portland and a planned lounge in San Diego in 2028.
