Hilton is introducing a new approach to business meetings and corporate events, placing attendee wellness at the center of the experience. The hospitality group has launched High Performance Meetings, a framework designed to help participants maintain focus, energy and engagement before, during and after professional gatherings.

Announced on November 2, 2026, the initiative was developed in partnership with TIGNUM, a consulting firm specializing in sustainable human performance. It builds on Hilton's existing World's Most Welcoming Events initiative, adding a stronger focus on physical and mental wellbeing throughout the event experience.

The move comes as Hilton research indicates that 67% of meeting attendees feel less engaged when events do not include meaningful downtime. The company says the new framework is intended to help planners balance business objectives with opportunities for participants to rest, recharge and connect.

Three Stages of the Meeting Experience

High Performance Meetings is structured around three stages of the attendee journey.

Arrive Ready focuses on preparing participants before an event through improved pre-arrival communications, travel guidance and arrival experiences designed to help them feel ready to participate.

Stay Ready addresses the event itself, encouraging planners to balance working sessions with wellness activities and breaks that help attendees maintain their energy and concentration.

Return Ready focuses on what happens after the meeting, with reflection tools and post-event guidance intended to help participants retain what they learned and apply it in their professional lives.

Four Pillars of the Wellness Program

The framework is built around four main areas: mindset, nutrition, movement and recovery.

Mindset activities may include guided meditation, mindfulness, breathwork and opportunities for reflection. Nutrition focuses on balanced menus, nourishing snacks, hydration and meal timing to help sustain energy throughout the day.

Movement can be incorporated through stretching sessions, scheduled activity breaks, fitness classes and recreational experiences. Recovery, meanwhile, includes dedicated downtime, spa treatments, relaxation spaces and other activities supporting physical and mental restoration.

The program is customizable, allowing Hilton properties and event planners to adapt activities and amenities to the requirements of individual meetings and their participants.

"Wellness has become essential to how people live and travel, and those expectations don't disappear when they're attending meetings and events," said Amanda Al-Masri, Hilton's vice president of wellness.

She added that the initiative extends Hilton's approach to guest wellbeing into group experiences, making it a more intentional part of how people gather and collaborate.

More Resources for Meeting Planners

Hilton plans to support the framework with a new guide available through its World's Most Welcoming Events initiative. The guide will offer practical recommendations for incorporating wellness into meetings, with additional tools and resources expected to follow in 2027.

The launch comes as hotels compete to attract corporate events and meetings, with organizers increasingly considering the overall attendee experience alongside meeting facilities, accommodation and business services.

For Hilton, High Performance Meetings represents an expansion of its existing events strategy, giving planners another way to incorporate wellness into corporate gatherings across its hotel portfolio.
