An American Airlines flight bound for Hawaii returned safely to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on Tuesday, November 3, after the crew reported a problem with the aircraft's brakes.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Flight 675 was operating from Phoenix to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu when the crew reported the technical issue.

The Airbus A321 landed safely back at Phoenix Sky Harbor at approximately 2:45 p.m. local time.

No injuries or further complications were mentioned in the FAA's initial statement.

The FAA confirmed that it will investigate the incident but did not provide additional details about the nature of the brake problem.

The incident adds to the operational challenges airlines face when technical issues are identified during flight. Brake systems are essential for aircraft ground operations, particularly during landing, and reports of potential problems can prompt crews to return to an airport as a precaution.

The FAA's investigation is expected to establish further details about the reported malfunction.
