American Airlines is teaming up with the MICHELIN Guide to give AAdvantage members access to exclusive dining events, chef collaborations and tailor-made culinary trips around the world.

Highlights of the Partnership

The new partnership, announced by the two organizations, will combine American's loyalty program with the MICHELIN Guide's international restaurant expertise, offering members new ways to explore destinations through food and local culture.

The experiences will include private dinners with renowned chefs, access to major MICHELIN Guide ceremonies in the United States and specially designed culinary journeys featuring celebrated restaurants, hotels and wineries.

The first three exclusive dining events are planned for Los Angeles in February 2027, Miami in April 2027 and Chicago in June 2027. AAdvantage members will be able to redeem miles for access to these events, which will feature chef-led dinners, special menus and opportunities to meet some of the culinary world's leading figures.

American Airlines will also become the official and exclusive restaurant partner for the U.S. MICHELIN Guide Ceremonies. These events recognize outstanding restaurants and chefs through MICHELIN Stars, Bib Gourmand distinctions and other awards.

Another highlight will be a series of private culinary journeys created with MICHELIN Guide experts. The trips will offer customized itineraries and privileged access to renowned chefs, hotels and wineries, with experiences shaped by the knowledge of the Guide's inspectors.

The inaugural journey is scheduled for Porto, Portugal, in September 2027. Its timing will coincide with American Airlines' planned launch of service to the Portuguese destination, connecting the airline's expanding network with its new culinary offering.

"Food and beverage is an important driver of customer satisfaction," said American Airlines Chief Customer Officer Heather Garboden, adding that the partnership will create opportunities for AAdvantage members to enjoy culinary experiences beyond their flights.

MICHELIN Guide International Director Gwendal Poullennec said the collaboration aims to bring travelers closer to the people, places and food experiences that make destinations memorable.

The agreement also builds on American's broader investment in its customer experience, including premium cabins, modern airport lounges, upgraded inflight dining and personalized loyalty benefits.

American Airlines operates more than 6,000 daily flights to over 350 destinations in more than 60 countries, serving more than 200 million customers annually. The airline is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026.
