flydubai Strengthens Global Ties.
The Emirati airline has announced the signing of seven new interline agreements, expanding its destination offerings and strengthening its global presence. With these new agreements, the number of the airline's interline partners exceeds 40, offering its customers connectivity to more than 300 destinations through integrated airline networks.
As part of the collaborations, the airline will offer passengers access to more than 30 destinations across Europe through Greek airline Aegean Airlines and Italian ITA Airways. Among the popular destinations added are Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Madrid, Munich, Venice, and more.
Meanwhile, agreements with Asian airlines Air China, China Eastern, Hainan Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, and Myanmar Airways International allow passengers to enjoy connections to more than 90 destinations in East and Southeast Asia, including Beijing, Shanghai, Yangon, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Under the agreements, flydubai passengers will benefit from an integrated ticket, unified baggage handling, and seamless connectivity between flights. This move aligns with the airline's strategy to expand its network, which currently includes over 135 points worldwide. Key destinations include Penang, Nairobi, Prague, Ljubljana, and Zanzibar.
"Since 2009, we have remained committed to improving connectivity and promoting the free flow of trade and tourism, so we are pleased to add seven new interline partners," said Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai.
Al Ghaith went on to explain that the fresh agreements will offer enhanced flexibility and more choice when planning trips by providing access to their partners' route networks in key markets across Asia and Europe. This will also translate to more passengers getting access to Dubai, which he called "a leading tourism and business destination", while strengthening its role as an "international aviation hub."
"We look forward to welcoming passengers from outside our network on board, where they can discover our exciting destinations and enjoy a comfortable travel experience, whether they choose to fly in business class or economy class," concluded Al Ghaith.
It is worth mentioning that flydubai is one of the most active foreign airlines at Ben Gurion Airport. Just last week, the company announced that a revolution in economy service will take effect from November, including the opening of an entertainment system and meal service for passengers in all classes.
