On Tuesday, November 4, Air India announced that it would operate a rescue flight from Delhi, with the aim of repatriating the passengers of flight AI174, which had made an emergency landing in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

As a reminder, the flight took off from San Francisco en route to New Delhi on Sunday (November 2), but was forced to deviate from its route due to a technical fault aboard the company's Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.

The replacement flight, AI183, is expected to return to Delhi with the passengers tomorrow morning. Until the rescue flight takes off, the passengers and crew are staying in Mongolia, where they are receiving full assistance and support from Air India, the local authorities, and the Indian Embassy. As part of the treatment, they have been arranged to stay in hotels and have been kept informed of the arrangements made for their return.
