Wizz Air adds freedom to flight bookings. The Hungarian low-cost airline has launched Flexible Travel Partner, a new product that allows customers to add passengers to their bookings without committing to naming them, up to a few hours before departure.

Registering passenger names for flights is one of the hurdles in the aviation world. In various companies, including low-cost airlines, changing names on a flight ticket often involves a fee or may not be possible at all.

With the new option, Wizz Air customers can add up to nine unnamed passengers to their reservation and confirm their names up to three hours before departure.

According to Wizz Air, "The new option gives the freedom to plan ahead without the pressure of early commitment."

Upon booking, the person can choose the number of passengers and mark “Add name later.” All prices and service fees are paid upfront, but names can be added at any stage before check-in. The option is already available on Wizz Air's website and app.

The new service joins a series of announcements made by the Hungarian low-cost airline recently, including improving customer service via an AI chatbot "Amelia," the return of the "All You Can Fly" subscriptions, and future announcements on a business class to be introduced in the company's aircraft and new online services in the air.
