Spain, Italy, and France: British Aviation Giant's Subsidiary Expands With Three New European Routes

British flag carrier British Airways, through its subsidiary Cityflyer, is expanding its route network and opening three destinations in Europe in the summer of 2026; CEO: "We’re excited to grow our network next year with three fantastic new routes."

BA Cityflyer, a wholly owned subsidiary of British Airways, announced today (December, 2025) the expansion of its route network ahead of the 2026 summer season. The company introduced three new popular holiday destinations across Europe, with the new flights available for booking starting today. The move further expands the company's route map to almost 30 destinations in Europe.

The new lines:

London City (LCY) to Toulon Saint-Tropez (TLN), France

A completely new destination for British Airways, located just 50 km from Saint-Tropez. Flights will operate twice a week (Tuesdays and Saturdays) from May 23 to September 1, 2026. Flight prices will start at £127 one way.

London Stansted (STN) to Olbia (OLB), Sardinia, Italy

Flights will operate twice a week (Saturday and Sunday) between 23 May and 27 September 2026. This route will join BA’s existing summer Cityflyer service from London City to Olbia, allowing up to seven weekly flights to the desired destination. Fares will start at £127 one-way.

Glasgow (GLA) to San Sebastian (EAS), Spain

The flights will operate twice weekly between July 18 and September 8, 2026, joining existing routes to Barcelona, ​​Madrid, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, and Ibiza. One-way fares will start at £113.

Adding Toulon Saint-Tropez from London City Airport gives customers more choice and convenience when travelling to the French Riviera, further strengthening our leisure offering from the heart of London.

The CEO called the route to Olbia, Sardinia, perfect for a holiday on the region's stunning beaches and Mediterranean landscapes, while explaining the route from San Sebastian to Glasgow will provide an accessible solution for customers from Scotland.
