Air Canada has appointed Shmuel Cohen, who has served as its sales manager in Israel for the past six years, to the role of branch manager. Cohen previously served as a commercial manager at Travelport and as a sales manager at Amadeus.
The announcement was made as part of a visit to Israel by senior company officials, including Rocky Lo, Air Canada's International Sales Manager, and Margaret Skinner, the company's Senior Director Sales EMEAI.

Even before her departure, she renewed the route between Tel Aviv and Toronto, which had been suspended during the war. Today, the company operates five weekly flights on the route.
Alongside the popular route to Toronto, Air Canada recently announced that it will relaunch the previously active Tel Aviv-Montreal route, starting in the summer of 2026, with two weekly flights. In total, there will be seven weekly flights between the two Canadian destinations this summer.
Rocky Lo told PassportNews: "We are very proud to announce Shmuel as Ruth's successor, and to have chosen him to lead the Israeli market for Air Canada. I am confident that he will continue the great work that Ruth has done. This is a new chapter for us and we are very pleased to announce the appointment."
