According to official data, the past year was marked not only by an increase in passenger numbers but also by a significant expansion in the network of routes and companies operating on the island. During 2025, 60 airlines operated 160 routes to 41 international markets, reinforcing Cyprus's position as a significant regional aviation hub in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Divided between airports, Larnaca Airport recorded approximately 9.91 million passengers, up 14% from the previous year, while Paphos Port ended the year with 3.84 million passengers, up 5%.

Hermes Airports notes that one of the year's most notable achievements is the significant strengthening of winter traffic, a figure that underscores the success of the strategy to position Cyprus as an active tourist destination year-round, not just during the summer season.

At the market level, the five leading countries in passenger traffic to Cyprus were Great Britain, Greece, Israel, Poland and Germany.

In the airline sector, the leaders were Wizz Air, Ryanair, Aegean, easyJet and Jet2.com.

In a closing statement, Hermes Airports stated: “Each milestone is much more than a number, it is an expression of our vision in action. The vision is to expand Cyprus’s air connectivity throughout the year, to create a real impact on the national economy and to serve millions of passengers.”

The company also thanked the airlines and strategic partners, who contributed to achieving the impressive results, and made it clear that it is already looking ahead to expanding its destination network, attracting more airlines and deepening Cyprus' air connections to new and existing markets. "The 2025 figures strengthen Cyprus' position as a leading tourist and aviation destination, with a stable infrastructure, ongoing demand and a clear growth trend well into the coming year."
