Swiss airline Edelweiss has unveiled its new cabin for its A350 aircraft. Passengers can expect a modern design, high-quality materials and advanced technology for improved long-haul flight experiences from the ground up, with their well-being in mind.
The new Economy Class features seats with an additional 3 cm of legroom and a greater recline angle. The Premium Economy Class will offer more spacious seats in a 2-3-2 configuration, with imporved food service, alcoholic beverages, noise-canceling headphones and personal wireless charging stations.
Credit: Edelweiss In the new Business Class, a 1-2-1 configuration will give every passenger direct aisle access, with seats that convert into a flat bed. Business Suites feature 1.20-meter-high closing doors, 32-inch screens, open legroom and adjustable partitions between passengers.
All classes will offer free Wi-Fi from Starlink, 4K screens, Bluetooth connectivity, and fast-charging sockets of all types. The entertainment system will include over 400 movies and TV series, 3D flight maps, and access to the aircraft's external cameras. A smart lighting system will be adjusted to the passengers' biological clock.
Bernd Bauer, CEO of Edelweiss, commented on the arrival of the A350, explaining that it gave them the opportunity to rethink the entire cabin product and redesign it around the well-being of guests, with the main goal to create a space that inspires calm, quality, and clearly positions them as a premium product."
The first aircraft in the new configuration is expected to enter service in December 2026, with ticket sales opening this summer. Additional aircraft will be gradually upgraded by summer 2027, when the company's entire A350 fleet will be in the new configuration.
