Starting today, January 15, 2026, Wizz Air introduces Wizz Air Class, allowing passengers on select flights to book an aisle or window seat and block the middle seat (either B or E) next to it, to finally enjoy the extra space and privacy they want.
"For clarity, this means that WIZZ Class will allow you to purchase either a window or aisle seat in the first row (1A, 1C, 1D, and/or 1F), and will prevent anyone else from being assigned the seat adjacent to you (the middle seat).", says the airline.
Other class benefits include seats with extra legroom, priority boarding, the right to carry two items of hand luggage, and a snack and a non-alcoholic drink on board on flights/routes that offer food and beverage services.
The service is available for purchase on selected flights to and from six airports in Europe, including Henri Coandă International Airport in Otopeni, Bucharest, as well as airports in Budapest, London (Luton, Gatwick), Rome (Fiumicino) and Warsaw.
Passengers can select Wizz Class as an upgrade during the booking process.
Other European airlines offer similar options. Air France’s “Empty Seat Option - My Extra Space” lets passengers reserve up to three adjacent seats, available at check-in subject to availability, with prices varying by route.
Lufthansa offers a “Free Adjacent Seat” on selected routes and a “Sleeper’s Row” option on long-haul flights, giving passengers a full row in economy along with a mattress, blanket, and business-class pillow.
