Ready for the summer: Low-cost carrier Wizz Air will add two fresh summer routes from Cluj-Napoca in 2026, giving travelers more warm-weather trip options.
Starting May, passengers flying from “Avram Iancu” International Airport will be able to book direct flights to Malta and Dubrovnik, with fares starting at 129 RON (25 EUR). Tickets are already on sale through Wizz Air’s website and mobile app.

The following day, May 23, the airline adds Dubrovnik to its local network, with flights operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Both destinations are aimed squarely at holiday travelers looking for sun, beaches, and historic city breaks.

It is great to see that Romania is becoming increasingly connected to impressive holiday destinations, such as Malta and Dubrovnik,” said Ioana Seghete, a flight attendant from Cluj-Napoca and WIZZ Ambassador in Romania.

Today, Wizz Air operates 238 routes from 14 Romanian airports, linking passengers to 83 destinations across 27 countries. Over nearly two decades, the airline has opened nine operational bases in Romania and now employs more than 1,600 people locally.
For travelers in Cluj-Napoca, the additions mean more direct choices without the need for connections. Malta offers a mix of beaches, history, and year-round sunshine, while Dubrovnik remains one of the Adriatic’s most popular coastal cities.
