British Airways has extended its popular Avios-Only flights with new routes from London City Airport to Madrid and Toulon, as the company is getting ready to operate its 50th Avios-Only service since the launch of the concept in 2023.

The flights are only available via the airline’s loyalty program, The British Airways Club, and every seat on board can be booked using Avios points. Booking for members is officially open since February 12, with return fares starting at £2 plus 21,500 Avios for Toulon and £2 plus 28,000 Avios for Madrid. Both options include a checked bag of up to 23kg.

The Madrid service is timed for the late May bank holiday, allowing travelers to enjoy one of Europe’s great cultural capitals. Meanwhile, the Toulon route will open the door to the French Riviera, with the airport offering easy access to the famous beaches and nightlife of nearby Saint‑Tropez. Toulon is also a brand-new summer destination for British Airways.

Since introducing Avios-Only flights, the airline has rolled out dozens of similar services to destinations including Cape Town, Barbados, Marrakesh, and Málaga. These flights differ from regular reward bookings because every seat is allocated to loyalty redemptions, rather than just a small number per flight.

Colm Lacy, British Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, said: “We’re excited to release these latest Avios-Only flights, to two top leisure destinations for summer. These flights are always incredibly popular, and we’re delighted to give our loyal customers even more opportunities to enjoy the benefits of The British Airways Club.”

Adam Daniels, CEO of IAG Loyalty, added that the initiative highlights how valuable loyalty points have become, especially during busy travel periods.

Flights to Madrid will operate between May 22 and 25, 2026, while the Toulon service will run from June 13 to 20, 2026, both departing and returning to London City Airport.
