Blooming Traffic: US Expects All-Time Record Number of Passengers This Spring

US airlines are preparing for one of the busiest spring travel seasons on record, with 171 million passengers expected to fly between March and April. Carriers are adding more flights and millions of extra seats. Officials warn of the possibility of another federal government shutdown

Airlines in the United States are gearing up for a particularly busy spring season, with another record-breaking passenger number expected. According to a forecast from Airlines for America, approximately 171 million passengers are expected to fly between March 1 and April 30a 4% increase compared to the same period last year.

According to the data, American airlines are expected to carry an average of 2.8 million passengers per day during the period. To meet demand, about 2% more flights and seats will be added. It is estimated that about 26,000 daily passenger flights will be operated, with a total supply of about 3.5 million seats per day.

Along with the increase in demand, the organization is expressing concern about the possible effects of another federal shutdown.
