The world's largest tourism fair, ITB, held in Berlin, was held for the 60th time this year and closed yesterday after three days of activity. As every year, the fair took place in the first week of March.

For years, this has been the regular and fixed date of the fair, which brings together more than 100,000 tourism professionals, politicians, and media figures from all over the world. However, next year, the fair will move to mid-March and will be held between March 16 and 18, 2027.

Last night, with the closure of the 2026 edition of the fair, which was a little less busy due to the closure of airspace in many parts of the Middle East, its management issued a special statement explaining the reason for the postponement: "ITB Berlin 2027 will take place from 16 to 18 March 2027. The one-off change of dates takes intercultural aspects into account and enables Muslim exhibitors and visitors to celebrate Eid al-Fitr at the end of Ramadan and then participate in ITB Berlin."

Indeed, the Ramadan holiday will end next year on March 8, while Eid al-Fitr will take place between March 9 and 10, and the tourism fair will be held from Tuesday to Thursday the following week.
