Miami International Airport launches new service aimed at improving the passenger experience. Under the name Wait n' Rest, the new service is directly tied to a new complex offering private bedrooms for rent by the hour inside the terminal. As the first of its kind in North America, the Miami complex includes 15 sleep rooms located in Area D of the airport.

All rooms are designed to accommodate one to four passengers and feature beds with quality linens, touch screens for entertainment and information, and access to private showers and toilets.

Guests also receive towels and a selection of snacks and drinks. The service operates on an hourly rental model, up to a maximum of eight hours.

The concept is designed to allow passengers to get away from the hustle and bustle of the terminal, relax near the boarding gate, and make the most of their waiting time between flights. The rooms are designed for both passengers who need to rest during a connection or long flight and business travelers seeking a private space for meetings or work.

The stay is managed digitally using touch screens inside the rooms, which allow control of the environment and direct ordering of food and drinks to the room.

Prices start at $40 for 60 minutes for one guest. The cost increases depending on the number of guests: $55 for two guests, $70 for three, and $85 for four. An overnight package of up to eight hours starts at $200 per person and goes up to $245 for four guests. Another Wait n' Rest location is expected to open in Area H at the airport this summer.

The launch of the service is part of a series of moves to improve the airport’s passenger experience. In 2025, Miami Airport was ranked third in the US for business travelers by Booking.com and has won several awards.
