American Airlines plans to open a new and expanded Admirals Club lounge at Austin-Bergstrom Airport (AUS).
The new lounge in Austin, Texas, will span more than 1,114 square meters on the west side of the terminal, nearly double the size of the airline’s current lounge. It will feature, for the first time in the airline’s network of lounges, an outdoor terrace with spectacular views of downtown and the runway.
“This new Admirals Club lounge will reflect the vibrant spirit of Austin while offering the thoughtful design and premium amenities our customers expect,” said Heather Garboden, the company’s VP of Customer Experience.
Passenger-Friendly Design
Construction will begin this year, and the current lounge will remain operational throughout construction. The new lounge will offer different areas depending on passenger needs, including rest, dining, work, and charging areas. while maintaining a balance between comfort, design, and functionality.
The outdoor terrace, as a central element, marks the first time an airspace has been opened in the company's lounge network, as part of an effort to upgrade the Admirals Club experience with local touches and improved service.
In addition, AUS passengers will enjoy new airline partnerships, including Lavazza coffee and Bollinger champagne, available for purchase in lounges across the network.
Easy Access for AAdvantage Members
AAdvantage members can access the lounge through Admirals Club membership, oneworld status, or Citi/AAdvantage Executive World Elite cards. A 24-hour One-Day Pass is available for $79, or 7,900 miles.
International passengers on Flagship tickets have access to the Flagship Lounge, and a Single Visit Pass can be purchased for $150 or 15,000 miles.
