Name and theme revealed: Disney Cruise, the iconic cruiseline that offers “imaginative kids' activities, exclusive adult recreation and rousing family entertainment”, has revealed the name and theme of its fourth ship in the Wish class.
The announcement was made during the 2026 Walt Disney Company Annual Shareholders Meeting, on the first day of CEO Josh D’Amaro’s tenure, further marking a moment of optimism for the company.
The Disney Believe, as this is the chosen name for the new ship, follows the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. Each of them features distinctive themes that shape the guest experience from entertainment to décor.
For example, the Wish was centered on enchantment, while the Treasure focused on adventure, and the Destiny on heroes and villains. In turn, the Disney Believe will embrace a story “full of promise and possibilities”, with a design honoring Disney characters who persevere, dream big, and inspire others to do the same.
Guests will experience the magical worlds of “Encanto” and “Frozen,” explore the wishing wells of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” and journey under the sea with “Moana” and “The Little Mermaid.” Disney promises that immersive storytelling will be combined with technology to create unique experiences that have become a hallmark of the cruise line.
D’Amaro highlighted that the Disney Believe is not just a new ship, but a continuation of their unwavering commitment to mixing imaginative storytelling with memorable family experiences.
The ship will invite guests of all ages to explore worlds they love, with spaces, entertainment, and experiences designed around the themes of hope, dreams, and adventure.
By 2031, the company plans to grow the fleet to 13 ships, including the Disney Adventure, the largest ship in the fleet, which sailed on its maiden voyage from Singapore earlier this month. The Disney Believe is expected to sail in late 2027. In 2028, Disney plans to introduce a new class of ships, while in the following year, they will partner with Oriental Land Co. to launch Disney cruise vacations to Japan.
