FAA Probes Small Plane Collision During Taxiing at Texas Airport

The Federal Aviation Administration has opened an investigation after two small aircraft collided while taxiing at Scholes International Airport in Galveston, Texas

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating an incident involving two small aircraft at Scholes International Airport on Tuesday morning, March 25, 2026.

According to officials, the collision happened at around 10:45 a.m. when a Waco YMF-5 was taxiing toward a hangar and struck a parked Diamond DA40.

The Waco aircraft had only the pilot on board at the time. Two people were inside the Diamond plane when it was hit. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether anyone was injured.

Details about how the incident occurred remain limited, and investigators are working to determine the circumstances that led to the collision.
