Photo: Etihad Airways After recently boosting its presence in China with the addition of five new routes and 28 extra weekly flights from Abu Dhabi, and announcing daily flights to Kabul, the UAE's carrier Etihad Airways chose to upgrade its premium travel offering on flights connecting Abu Dhabi with Mumbai and New Delhi. Both routes will operate up to four times a day, starting May 1, 2026.

The airline will also introduce its Airbus A321LR aircraft on two daily services to each Indian city, alongside two existing wide-body flights, to make sure that all premium cabin passengers benefit from a consistent high-end experience across the network.

The Airbus A321LR introduces a new onboard layout featuring private First Suites with sliding doors, lie-flat beds, 4K screens, wireless charging, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Business Class includes 14 lie-flat, window-facing seats with direct aisle access, while Economy offers upgraded entertainment systems and improved seating comfort.
Passengers in First Deluxe and Business Deluxe will also benefit from enhanced ground services, including chauffeur transfers for First guests, as well as concierge support, Meet and Assist, and personalized travel assistance.
Etihad will operate multiple daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Mumbai using a mix of Airbus A321LR, Airbus A350, and Boeing 787 aircraft.
