French flag carrier Air France continues to upgrade its premium classintroducing culinary innovations to enhance the passenger experience. The upgrade includes, among other things, a complete change to the second meal served on long-haul flights, as well as an expanded menu throughout the flight.

As part of the update, on flights lasting over seven hours, the second meal before landing has been redesigned to replace the meal previously served.

The new service includes a tray with a menu adapted to the time of flight. On overnight flights, passengers will be served a light breakfast including pastries, yogurt, and granola. On daytime flights, the airline will serve club sandwiches, including a vegetarian option. On long flights of over 10 hours, a salad will also be added alongside warm bread.

In addition, the company will continue to offer a full French-style meal including a starter, two hot main course options, cheeses and dessert, along with champagne upon takeoff, depending on the departure time. Chef Frédéric Simonin, responsible for developing the main courses, has created a rotating menu that also includes vegetarian dishes.

The dishes were developed in collaboration with Servair, with an emphasis on fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. The company notes that all meat, dairy products, and eggs are French-sourced, while all fish come from sustainable fisheries.

The dessert section offers a selection of pastries and classic options. On particularly long flights, ice cream will be served between meals. The drinks menu includes French wines and beers, alongside a new cocktail specially developed by mixologist Matthias Giroud.

Beyond the culinary aspect, the Premium Class offers upgraded seats with a recline angle of up to 124 degrees, advanced personal screens with entertainment content, and an amenity package that includes a comfort kit, blanket, and headphones. The service is available on most of the company's fleet, alongside ground benefits as part of the SkyPriority services.a
