Qatar Airways and Philippine Airlines are significantly expanding their partnership, opening up more than 40 new destinations for travelers across Europe, the Middle East, and the Philippines through an enhanced codeshare agreement and new loyalty benefits.

The expanded cooperation will officially begin on June 1, 2026, building on the codeshare partnership first launched in June 2025.

Under the new arrangement, Philippine Airlines will place its PR code on Qatar Airways-operated flights from Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao to Doha. Passengers will then gain easier access to more than 20 major European cities through Doha’s Hamad International Airport, including Paris, Rome, and Frankfurt.

At the same time, Qatar Airways will add its QR code to Philippine Airlines domestic services, allowing international travelers arriving in Manila and Cebu to connect more seamlessly to popular tourist destinations such as Caticlan, the gateway to Boracay, and Puerto Princesa in Palawan.

Privilege Club and Mabuhay Miles Members Receive Extra Benefits

The expansion also strengthens ties between the airlines’ frequent flyer programs. Qatar Airways Privilege Club members can now collect and redeem Avios across Philippine Airlines’ international and domestic network, including routes throughout Southeast Asia, Australasia, and the United States.

Meanwhile, Mabuhay Miles members will be able to earn and spend miles on Qatar Airways flights to destinations across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

The move marks Privilege Club’s 26th airline partnership and further expands Qatar Airways’ footprint in Southeast Asia, while Philippine Airlines gains broader international connectivity through Doha.

Both airlines highlighted reliability and operational performance as key pillars of the partnership. Qatar Airways was recently named the World’s Best Airline by Skytrax in 2025 and also received Cirium’s Platinum recognition for operational performance.

Philippine Airlines was recognized by Cirium as the Asia Pacific region’s most punctual airline for 2025, reflecting ongoing investments in fleet readiness and network efficiency.

The expanded partnership is expected to offer travelers more flexible itineraries, improved connectivity, and additional loyalty rewards as demand for international travel across Asia and Europe continues to grow.
