Dubai International Airport maintained its global status after recording a record 95.2 million passenger traffic in 2025, connecting more than 260 destinations worldwide

Dubai International Airport (DXB) has been crowned the world's busiest international airport for the 12th consecutive year.
According to data from the Airports Authority, in 2025, 95.2 million passengers passed through the airport, an increase of 3.1% compared to the previous year and a new annual record in international passenger traffic at the airport.

DXB serves as the main gateway to Dubai and currently connects to over 260 destinations across six continents. The figures continue to reflect Dubai’s position as a global aviation hub and a significant destination for tourism, business and residence.

However, it will be interesting to see how the security situation in the Middle East affects the field's status over the coming year and whether it can maintain its global lead in the years to come.
