Tenerife is strengthening its push into the Canadian travel market ahead of new direct flights from Air Canada set to launch this October.
The island recently presented its premium tourism offering to Canadian travel agents and Air Canada representatives as part of efforts to attract more long-haul visitors during the winter season.

Officials say the new routes are expected to improve connectivity between Canada and the Canary Islands while supporting Tenerife’s strategy of targeting higher-value tourism focused on nature, sustainability, and authentic local experiences.

Photo: Shutterstock Similarly, when speaking about the newly announced non-stop flights to the Canary Islands, Tenerife Tourism CEO Dimple Melwani said: “These Air Canada services offer us the opportunity to boost Tenerife’s promotion in these markets where demand is growing, not only as a holiday destination, but also as a global hub in strategic sectors such as business tourism, the audiovisual and cultural industries, and multi-port cruise tourism.”
