The new route will begin operations on September 23, 2026, with flights departing from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport to Pokhara, Nepal’s second-largest city and a growing hub for adventure and leisure tourism.

With this addition, flydubai becomes the first carrier to operate a direct service between the United Arab Emirates and Pokhara, strengthening air connectivity to western Nepal and complementing its existing flights to Kathmandu.

“Nepal has remained an exceptionally important market for flydubai since we first launched operations to Kathmandu in 2009,” said Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai. “Introducing direct flights to Pokhara underscores our ongoing commitment to supporting free flows of trade and tourism between the UAE and Nepal.”

He added that the new route reflects Dubai’s role as a global aviation hub, opening “new avenues of accessibility for both business and leisure travellers.”

Pokhara, located near the Annapurna mountain range, is widely regarded as Nepal’s leading adventure tourism destination, attracting trekkers and nature travelers from around the world. The new daily service is expected to improve access to the region’s eco-tourism and outdoor travel offerings.

“Passengers on this route can look forward to experiencing our high-quality service,” said Sudhir Sreedharan, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at flydubai, highlighting the airline’s Business Class and Economy Class options.

The service will operate daily, with flight FZ 1165 departing Dubai at 12:00 and arriving in Pokhara at 18:15. The return flight, FZ 1166, will depart Pokhara at 19:15 and land in Dubai at 22:00.

The route will also be operated in partnership with Emirates under a codeshare agreement, offering passengers streamlined connections across the airline’s global network, including simplified transfers and baggage handling.

With Nepal continuing to see strong demand from both leisure travelers and visiting families, flydubai’s expansion into Pokhara reinforces its long-term commitment to growing its presence in the Himalayan region.
