Wizz Air marks a significant milestone in its operations by crossing the 1,200-flight-per-day mark.

The milestone comes as the airline’s young fleet expands to 267 aircraft, enabling new routes, increased frequencies on popular routes and a wider range of flight options, especially in the summer months.

Additionally, last May, Wizz Air recorded particularly strong operational performance with a flight completion rate of 99.99% across its route network, alongside high punctuality performance with 82.67% of flights arriving at their destination within 15 minutes of the scheduled landing time.

One day of Wizz Air operations includes 1,200 flights, meaning one Wizz Air flight takes off on average every 72 seconds, more than 260,000 passengers, connections between 45 countries and 185 airports, and more than 4,000 flight crew members alongside thousands of maintenance, operations, and service employees.

Diarmuid O'Conghaile, Chief Operating Officer at Wizz Air, said that operating 1,200 flights a day is a significant moment for the company, one that proves the strength of their growth, the expansion of their fleet and the trust of passengers who choose to fly with them us thanks to affordable prices and reliable service.
