Vietnamese airline Sun PhuQuoc Airways continues to record impressive growth and announced the arrival of the 11th aircraft in its fleet, a new Airbus A320neo.
The arrival of the new aircraft marks another milestone for the young company, but the real story is its ambitious expansion plan: by the end of August, Sun PhuQuoc Airways is expected to receive 15 additional aircraft from the Airbus A320 and A321 families, thereby increasing its fleet to 26 aircraft.
The company, launched as part of Sun Group, one of the largest tourism, real estate and leisure groups in Vietnam, enjoys significant financial support and a vision to transform Phu Quoc Island into a major international tourism and aviation hub in Southeast Asia.
The company's new aircraft are expected to operate during the busy summer season, amid growing demand for domestic flights in Vietnam and for international flights to key destinations in the region.
In parallel with the expansion of its fleet, the company is also rapidly expanding its network of destinations. Among the new routes that will be launched in the coming months:
-Hanoi - Cam Ranh (starting July 20, three daily flights)
-Ho Chi Minh City - Haiphong (starting July 25)
-Phu Quoc - Haiphong (starting July 25)
-Phu Quoc - Chengdu, China (starting July 16)
-Hanoi - Incheon (Seoul)
-Ho Chi Minh City - Incheon (starting August 25)
In addition, the company is preparing to open additional routes to Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Hong Kong and destinations in India.
By the end of August, Sun PhuQuoc Airways is expected to operate approximately 10 international routes, with Phu Quoc, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City serving as its main hubs.
The company operates a modern fleet of aircraft based on the Airbus A320neo family, considered among the most fuel- and emissions-efficient aircraft in the world. This move is part of the company's strategy to offer competitive flights alongside a modern passenger experience.
The Asian aviation industry is closely following the rapid development of Sun PhuQuoc Airways. In a short time, the company has managed to establish a significant presence in the domestic market, and now it aims to expand its operations internationally and compete for the region's tourist and business travelers.
