Prague Airport continues to expand its international route network, adding a new and significant player to its ranks. As announced in May, Saudi low-cost carrier flyadeal has begun operating regular flights to the Czech capital for the first time, with the launch of new route to Riyadh on June 26, 2026, and on July 2, it will also add another direct route to Jeddah.
Both routes will be operated three times a week, using the latest Airbus A320neo aircraft, with a capacity of 186 passengers.
First Entry Into Europe
For flyadeal, this is a strategically significant move. The company chose Prague as one of its first destinations in its expansion into the European market, with the Czech capital seen as a further step in strengthening ties between Central Europe and the Middle East.
The airport notes that Prague is a central gateway to Central Europe for flyadeal and one of the first destinations through which it expands its operations on the continent.
The Fast-Growing Low-Cost Airline
flyadeal is the low-cost airline of Saudia Group, the national airline of Saudi Arabia. The company was founded in 2017 as part of Vision 2030, the Saudi Arabian government's flagship program aimed at transforming the kingdom into a global tourism, aviation and logistics powerhouse.
Since its inception, flyadeal has become one of the fastest-growing airlines in the Middle East. It operates a modern fleet of Airbus A320 and A320neo aircraft, serves dozens of destinations in the Middle East and Asia, and continues to expand its international operations at a rapid pace.
The company is based on a full low-cost model, with extremely competitive prices, and is intended for both leisure and business travelers.
A New Bridge Between Europe and Saudi Arabia
The new routes are also expected to contribute to inbound tourism to the Czech Republic. In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the number of tourists coming from the Gulf countries to Europe, and Prague has become one of the most sought-after destinations among travelers from Saudi Arabia.
At the same time, the new lines will also allow passengers from the Czech Republic and neighboring countries to more easily reach Saudi Arabia, which has invested billions of dollars in recent years in developing international tourism and opening the country to visitors from all over the world.

Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, offers a unique combination of historical sites, museums, a modern business district, skyscrapers, luxury shopping centers, and new attractions built as part of the kingdom's development plan.
Jeddah. Photo: Shutterstock Jeddah, located on the shores of the Red Sea, is considered one of the country's most important tourist cities. Among its attractions are the ancient city of Al-Balad, which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the impressive coastal promenade, the new marinas, and diving sites considered among the best in the world.
For Prague Airport, the addition of flyadeal is another achievement in efforts to expand the range of airlines and destinations operating from it.
The new routes not only add new flight options, but also strengthen Prague's position as a central gateway between Europe and the Middle East, illustrating the continued growing demand for air connections between the two regions.
In Prague, it is estimated that the success of the new routes may lead to future expansion of operations and increased frequencies, as part of flyadeal's continued expansion plans in Europe.
