The Emirates Group has received the Platinum Impact Seal for 2025–2027 from Majra, the United Arab Emirates' National CSR Fund, marking the second consecutive cycle in which the airline group has earned the certification.

The award was presented during a ceremony held under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and attended by Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, who presented the award to Adel Al Redha.

Majra's Platinum Impact Seal is the highest level of recognition under the UAE's national corporate social responsibility program. Organizations are assessed on environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance, sustainability initiatives, governance practices, and alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and UAE national priorities.

Impressive Numbers

According to Emirates, its sustainability initiatives over the past year span a range of areas across its operations. In 2024–25, its fuel-efficiency program saved more than 98,000 tonnes of fuel and reduced carbon emissions by over 312,000 tonnes.

During 2025–26, the airline procured more than 28,000 tonnes of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), cutting emissions by a further 93,000 tonnes. The group also expanded recycling and upcycling programs, installed nearly 40,000 solar panels at its engineering center, and commissioned a biodigester at Emirates Flight Catering to process organic waste.

Meanwhile, the Dubai National Air Travel Agency (dnata) increased its use of alternative fuels by 89% year-on-year, electrified more than 17% of its global ground support fleet, sourced more renewable energy, and diverted 47% of its operational waste from disposal.
