British Airways has begun rolling out a redesigned version of its mobile app, introducing a range of new features designed to make travel easier before, during, and after a flight.
Following months of testing with a large beta community, the new app offers a refreshed interface with simpler navigation and brings key travel functions into one place. Customers can book flights, manage check-in, and access digital boarding passes, which can also be saved to Apple and Android wallets for offline use.

Additional features include passport scanning to reduce document checks, secure biometric profile management, and a new "day of travel" home screen that displays the most relevant travel information. Passengers using Heathrow Terminal 5 can also access interactive terminal maps and live lounge occupancy information.

British Airways has also expanded the app's integration with the British Airways Club. Members can track their Avios and Tier Points, monitor their status progress, manage personal details, store passport information for future trips, and view saved travel companions and available vouchers.
The airline said the redesigned platform will support future updates, including the ability to redeem reward flights and vouchers directly in the app, expanded self-service options, greater personalization, and real-time baggage tracking.
The app rollout forms part of British Airways' wider digital transformation, which also includes upgrades to its website, investment in new airport lounges, and the introduction of fast, free Starlink Wi Fi on selected aircraft.
