Air Canada is introducing a new collection of premium bedding and upgraded in-flight amenities across its international network as part of a broader effort to improve passenger comfort and rest during long-haul journeys.
Beginning in August, the airline will roll out the new products across all cabins, including upgraded duvets and pillows in Air Canada Signature Class, larger blankets in Premium Economy and Economy, and redesigned comfort kits featuring products from Canadian brands.
According to Air Canada, the initiative is part of its "Warm Welcome" experience, which aims to help travelers feel more relaxed from departure to arrival.
“From the generously sized blanket in Premium Economy and Economy that wraps around the body from shoulders to feet, to our new plush comforters in Air Canada Signature Class, every element announced today has been carefully selected to help customers settle in, relax, and rest throughout their journey,” said Jacqueline Harkness, Senior Vice President of Products and Services at Air Canada.
The airline said the new collection was developed following customer surveys focused on improving sleep and comfort on long-haul flights.
Air Canada partnered with Canadian hospitality supplier Hunter Amenities to create the new amenity kits, which are designed to be reusable after the flight. The kits include sleep masks, earplugs, travel socks, bamboo toothbrushes, and other travel essentials.
Premium passengers traveling in Air Canada Signature Class will also receive skincare products from Sahajan, a Canadian wellness company founded by entrepreneur Lisa Mattam. The new kits include Lip Karma Nourishing Lip Balm and Hand Remedy Hand Cream, both manufactured in Ontario.
Among the most notable upgrades are the new 1.8-meter fleece blankets available in Economy and Premium Economy, designed to provide full-body coverage, and the airline's updated Signature Class bedding package featuring a softer duvet and an enhanced pillow with improved breathability.
Air Canada says the refreshed amenities underscore its commitment to showcasing Canadian brands while enhancing the international travel experience.
The rollout begins next month on international flights, offering passengers new ways to rest and recharge while crossing the globe.
