Marriott International is expanding its footprint in the growing outdoor hospitality sector with the addition of RESET Hotel in Twentynine Palms, California, to its Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy.
First New Brand to Join Outdoor Collection
The announcement marks an important milestone for the collection, as RESET becomes the first new brand to join Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy since the platform launched in September 2025.
Situated on 180 acres of high desert terrain just minutes from the northern entrance of Joshua Tree National Park, RESET is also the first hotel built from the ground up in Twentynine Palms in more than 15 years.
The 65-room property has been designed to immerse guests in the surrounding desert landscape. Each room features a private patio equipped with a fire pit, daybed, and dedicated stargazing platform, while the hotel's architecture emphasizes natural materials and uninterrupted views of the Mojave Desert.

Saltwater Pool, Jacuzzi, Cold Plunges, and Sauna
Beyond its accommodations, RESET offers a range of wellness-focused amenities, including a saltwater pool, jacuzzi, sauna, cold plunge, and outdoor soaking tubs. Guests can also participate in astronomy events led by former NASA and Jet Propulsion Laboratory experts, taking advantage of some of Southern California's darkest night skies.
The hotel's location near Joshua Tree National Park is expected to be a major draw for visitors interested in hiking, photography, and desert exploration. RESET has also introduced creative residencies and design-centered programming aimed at deepening guests' connection to the destination.
"RESET was created to offer a more thoughtful way to experience the desert, one that brings guests closer to the landscape without competing with it," said Shannon Ching, co-founder of RESET.
RESET joins Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy alongside Postcard Cabins and Trailborn properties, further strengthening Marriott's presence in the outdoor travel market. Guests staying at the property will be able to earn and redeem Marriott Bonvoy points as part of the company's global loyalty program.
