Delta Air Lines is bringing sports fandom to the skies with the launch of SkyPicks, a new free-to-play sports knowledge contest created in partnership with DraftKings.

The new onboard experience allows eligible SkyMiles members aged 21 and over to make sports predictions during flights for a chance to win Delta Gift Cards. However, Delta emphasized that SkyPicks is not a gambling product and does not include wagering, deposits, buy-ins, miles, or any financial risk.

Available through Delta Sync Wi-Fi on passengers’ personal devices, SkyPicks lets travelers answer questions related to real sports matchups, including player comparisons and game predictions. The contest will initially feature Major League Baseball (MLB) games, with NFL matchups expected to be added later in the year.

Passengers can access SkyPicks by connecting to Delta Sync Wi-Fi, signing into or creating a DraftKings account, selecting a contest, and submitting their predictions. Top performers in individual contests and monthly leaderboards will receive Delta Gift Cards.

The launch builds on Delta’s broader effort to transform inflight entertainment and make travel more interactive. The airline already offers live sports, streaming content, and sports coverage through its Delta Sync platform, with sports consistently ranking among the most popular onboard entertainment categories.

Delta said SkyPicks is designed to allow fans to participate in the sports conversation rather than simply watch games while traveling.

“As the Official Airline of Champions,” Delta highlighted its long connection with professional sports, noting that it has flown 81 championship teams across multiple leagues since 2000.

The airline’s partnership with DraftKings comes amid growing interest in sports-related digital experiences, while Delta maintains a clear separation between entertainment and real-money betting activities.

SkyPicks is currently available only on US domestic routes for eligible passengers aged 21 and older.
