Norwegian Aura. Photo: NCL Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed a major collection of new wellness, dining and entertainment experiences coming to Norwegian Aura, the cruise line’s largest ship to date and the newest addition to its Prima Plus Class.
The new ship is designed around greater choice and flexibility, with expanded spaces for relaxation, dining and entertainment. Among its most notable additions will be NCL’s largest Thermal Suite yet, its first specialty restaurant dedicated to Indian cuisine and a new immersive complimentary dining venue.
Norwegian Aura. Photo: NCLNorwegian Aura will debut in Europe in May 2027, beginning with a seven-day Mediterranean voyage from Trieste, Italy, to Barcelona, Spain, on May 21. It will then sail a 13-day transatlantic voyage to Miami before operating Caribbean itineraries.
The Mandara Spa will span two decks and has been designed by Rockwell Group as a large wellness sanctuary inspired by natural environments.
Norwegian Aura. Photo: NCLAt its center will be the ship’s expansive Thermal Suite, featuring 15 wellness experiences, including 11 new additions. The facilities are designed around contrast therapy, allowing guests to move between hot and cold environments, water features and relaxation spaces.
Norwegian Aura. Photo: NCLOne of the standout features will be the Sensory Rain Pool, described by NCL as the first of its kind at sea. The 360-degree experience can transform from calm water into tropical rainfall and eventually a simulated thunderstorm, complete with lightning effects and thunder sounds.
Norwegian Aura. Photo: NCLOther new experiences will include a Blue Glow Suite, Foot Spa, Waterfall Experience, Snow Cave, Reflection Pool and guided hot and cold plunges. The wellness area will also feature a Salt Room, Meditation Lounge, Aromatic Steam Room, Finnish Sauna, Charcoal Sauna and Zen Lounge.
The spa will include 24 treatment rooms, a full-service salon, Skin Lab, expanded medi-spa services and a fitness center with dedicated training studios.
Norwegian Aura will introduce Tamara, NCL’s first specialty restaurant dedicated entirely to Indian cuisine.
Norwegian Aura. Photo: NCLThe restaurant builds on the popularity of Indian dishes served at Indulge Food Hall and will offer regional cuisine in a setting inspired by North Indian temples and courtyards.
Located on Deck 8, Tamara will feature an open-view kitchen and tandoor ovens. Dishes will include Short-Rib Dosa, Lamb Biryani and Green Papaya Salad.
Norwegian Aura. Photo: NCLAnother new dining concept will be The Panorama Room on Deck 6. The complimentary restaurant will use large LED displays, synchronized lighting, multi-channel audio and changing visual environments to create an immersive dining experience.
Hudson’s, the ship’s signature main dining room, will also receive a new design while retaining its 270-degree ocean views.
Le Bistro on Norwegian Aura. Photo: NCLSeveral existing restaurants will be redesigned or expanded, including Le Bistro, Sukhothai, Palomar, Onda by Scarpetta, Cagney’s Steakhouse, Hasuki and Nama.

Norwegian Aura will also feature refreshed bars and lounges, including an expanded Penrose Bar & Atrium with more than twice the previous seating and a dedicated stage.
Norwegian Aura. Photo: NCLFor families, Ocean Heights will combine six slides, an 82-foot Aura Ropes Course, a multi-level obstacle course, Moon Climber, carnival-style games and a nine-hole mini golf course. The ship will also introduce overhanging cabanas overlooking Vibe Beach Club.
Norwegian Aura is scheduled to sail seven-day Eastern Caribbean voyages during the summers of 2027 and 2028. Its winter 2027/28 program will include week-long Western Caribbean cruises.
