Photo: Shutterstock Iberia is bringing its popular Espacio Iberia experience back to Madrid from September 2 to 27, offering visitors an interactive look at the airline’s aircraft, products, destinations and latest innovations.
Now in its fifth consecutive year, Espacio Iberia will occupy more than 1,100 square meters at the Official College of Architects of Madrid (COAM), in the city center at 63 Hortaleza Street, between the Justicia and Malasaña neighborhoods. The space will be open daily from 11:00 to 20:00 throughout the event.
One of the main attractions this year will be a recreation of the new Iberia Emerald Lounge. The real lounge is located in Terminal 4 at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport and is scheduled to open in the coming weeks. It will be available to Iberia customers with Platino, Platino Prime, Infinita, Infinita Prime and Singular status, as well as oneworld Emerald customers.
Visitors to Espacio Iberia will also be able to explore the airline’s A350 cabins, including Business, Premium Economy and Economy. The exhibition will showcase the latest seats and allow guests to sample Iberia’s onboard menus. Cabin experiences and tastings will be available by reservation.
A flight simulator operated with the assistance of a professional instructor will provide another opportunity for visitors to experience the airline from a pilot’s perspective. The simulator forms part of a wider section dedicated to Iberia’s Flight Plan 2030 and the role of technology and innovation in the airline’s future.
Artificial intelligence will also feature prominently. Visitors can discover potential travel destinations through an AI-powered experience and take part in a personality quiz designed to suggest destinations based on their preferences. A garden area will add another element to the interactive space.
Food and entertainment will form an important part of the program. Espacio Iberia will host wine and beer tastings, destination-inspired culinary experiences and live showcooking sessions. The Talent on Board program will include talks, concerts and workshops, while the Open Forum will provide additional events and activities.
The venue will also feature an Iberia merchandise shop and ticket sales point. For passengers who experience anxiety about flying, a listening area will offer access to “El Cubo de Otto,” an immersive podcast designed to help people overcome their fear of flying.
