Passengers traveling through Rome Fiumicino Airport are being informed of a temporary closure affecting the airport's Express ID Cards service.

According to Aeroporti di Roma, the “Express ID Cards” counter operated by the Municipality of Fiumicino at Leonardo da Vinci Airport will remain closed until Wednesday, September 16.

The airport operator said the closure is due to technical reasons.

Passengers planning to use the municipal counter during this period are advised to account for the temporary closure when arranging travel and documentation.

Aeroporti di Roma issued the notice on Thursday, September 10.

Rome Airport offers the emergency ID card service called "Carta d'identita al volo" (Identity Card on the Fly) that allows departing passengers to quickly replace a lost, stolen, damaged, or expired identity document right at the terminal.
