Marriott Bonvoy is expanding its Australian Open offerings for 2027, with more than 250 packages giving members access to tennis matches, hospitality events, behind-the-scenes experiences and opportunities to meet tennis stars.
Largest Offering So Far
The hotel loyalty program, which is an official partner of the Australian Open, said its new collection is the largest it has offered around the tournament so far. Packages are available to members worldwide, with Australian Open experiences already going on sale.
Among the options are match tickets, hotel stays, curated dinners, hospitality access and tours connected to the tournament. One of the headline experiences is a tennis clinic with former Australian tennis star Ash Barty, while another package combines tickets to the women's final with access to a hospitality lounge and a hotel stay.
Marriott Bonvoy is also adding 120 Summer of Tennis packages covering tournaments in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart and Perth. Those experiences will be released progressively through the end of 2026.
Meet-and-Greet with Eala
One of the more unusual opportunities will give members the chance to meet Filipino tennis star Alex Eala during Australian Open opening week in Melbourne.
The experience will be offered through both bidding and a Marriott Bonvoy 1-Point Drop, allowing a member to secure it for just one Bonvoy point. The package includes a meet-and-greet with Eala, a one-night stay at a Marriott Bonvoy hotel, access to an Australian Open opening-week event and an Australian Open welcome kit with merchandise.
Marriott is also planning separate sweepstakes for members in the Philippines and Japan. Prizes will include opportunities to meet Eala, signed merchandise and Australian Open tickets.
The focus on Eala reflects the growing interest in tennis in both markets. Eala, who has become a prominent figure in Philippine tennis, has also built a following in Japan.
The Australian Open experiences are part of Marriott Bonvoy's wider Tennis The World platform, which combines tennis-related travel experiences with access to hotels offering tennis facilities.
The platform is designed to connect members with tournaments and tennis experiences while traveling, with Marriott Bonvoy properties featured alongside the sporting events.
“Tennis The World is about opening the door to experiences that bring our members closer to the passions and places they love,” said John Toomey, Chief Commercial Officer, Marriott International, APEC.
The 2027 Australian Open will be held in Melbourne in January, with Marriott Bonvoy continuing to make additional tennis experiences available to members ahead of the tournament.
