LOT Polish Airlines has resumed direct flights between Warsaw and Bangkok, Thailand's capital, after more than 26 years without direct service.
The inaugural flight departed from Warsaw Chopin Airport this week, expanding the company's long-haul network and strengthening connectivity between Central Europe and Southeast Asia.
Flights are operated on Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The flight from Warsaw to Bangkok takes about 10 hours and 20 minutes, while the return flight takes about 11 hours and 15 minutes. The planes land at Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK), located approximately 30 km east of central Bangkok.

With the start of the winter season, the frequency of flights will gradually increase: by November 1, five weekly flights to Bangkok are planned, and from November 2, the frequency will increase to six flights per week, excluding Fridays. In the summer season of 2027, three weekly flights are planned.
The relaunch of the route brings LOT back to a route with a long history. The company began flying to Bangkok as early as 1977, with flights that included stopovers in Dubai and Mumbai. The regular service was discontinued in March 2000, and is now returning as part of the company's expansion of its intercontinental flight network.
