The airport has highlighted two periods when S-Bahn services will face significant changes, advising travelers to check connections before setting off and allow extra time to reach their flights.
From November 13 at 9:45 p.m. until November 16 at 1:30 a.m., no S-Bahn trains will operate between Schöneweide and Treptower Park. Passengers are advised to use the Airport Express (FEX) or regional trains as alternatives.

Replacement buses will run between Grünbergallee and Baumschulenweg, stopping at all stations along the route. An additional express replacement service will connect BER Airport with S Baumschulenweg, stopping at Adlershof and Schöneweide.
Passengers should check the Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg (VBB) website for updated timetables, replacement services and the most suitable connections before traveling.
Regional Train Services Also Affected
Changes to regional rail services are also continuing around Berlin. The airport says the FEX and RE20 lines will jointly operate four services per hour until December 2026.
The regional lines RB22 and RB32 have also been subject to partial cancellations during off-peak periods and diversions. The airport’s notice refers to restrictions continuing until mid-October, so travelers should consult the latest VBB timetable information for current service details.
Separately, extensive maintenance work on Berlin’s Stadtbahn corridor is scheduled to close the section between Charlottenburg and Ostbahnhof to regional and long-distance trains from June 14 to December 12, 2026. The work may also affect connections involving the airport express and regional lines RE20, RB22, RB24 and RB32.
Passengers who prefer to avoid potential rail disruption can book parking directly in front of the airport terminals through the BER website.
