Prague Airport has reported repeated threats involving improvised explosive devices allegedly placed aboard several aircraft arriving at and departing from the Czech capital's airport.
The Czech Police confirmed the latest threats that follow yesterday's similar incidents in a statement published on November 6, saying they had been received against a number of flights operating to and from Prague Airport.
Authorities said they were working closely with airport management and had implemented the necessary security measures in response. The investigation is ongoing.
Despite the repeated threats, Prague Airport stressed that the situation has not affected airport operations, with measures implemented to minimize disruption to normal activity.
The police have not provided further details about the flights targeted or the origin of the threats. No information has been released regarding any arrests or whether suspicious devices have been found.
According to flightradar24, one of the flights that declared an emergency this morning was a Romanian TAROM flight from Prague to Bucharest. The flight landed safely, but was stopped a safe distance from the terminal, accompanied by fire engines
The latest incident in Prague joins the long string of security incidents surrounding several European airports in recent days.
