German airline Eurowings is expanding its operations at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport ahead of the summer 2026 flight schedule. The low-cost carrier from the Lufthansa Group is adding three direct flights to major capitals, London, Lisbon, and Sarajevo, as well as three new leisure destinations, Olbia, Naples, and Kavala. The flights to Sarajevo and Kavala will be the first ever to these destinations from BER.
In addition, the company will increase the frequency of flights to popular destinations, including Palma de Mallorca, Stockholm, Zurich, Split, Bilbao, Faro, Helsinki, and Larnaca. In total, Eurowings will operate flights to 43 destinations in 20 countries in the summer of 2026, an offering never before seen at the airport.
At the same time, the company's fleet of aircraft at its base in Berlin will grow to nine, with the addition of two aircraft. This move will allow for increased route numbers and expanded frequencies in the upcoming summer season.
Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings, said: "The measures adopted by the German Government are helping us to stabilise our range of flights to European destinations and, in some cases, to expand it. This is particularly evident in Berlin. With our new connections, we are strengthening our presence in the capital. We are making a deliberate investment in BER because we see the region’s potential and want to offer people in Berlin and Brandenburg an even more diverse European network."
