Scandinavian airline SAS and Canadian airline WestJet are deepening their cooperation with a new codeshare agreement.
The agreement will allow for easier connectivity between the two airlines' destination networks. Under the agreement, SAS passengers will be able to fly more easily via Toronto and other U.S. airports where SAS operates, while WestJet passengers will gain convenient access to SAS's hub in Copenhagen and to the cities of Oslo and Stockholm.
SAS continues to consolidate its position as the airline operating the most flights between Scandinavia and Canada, thanks to its direct, scheduled service on the Copenhagen-Toronto route. According to the company, the new connection improves the destination map and allows for a more seamless flight experience on both sides of the ocean.
On the Way in 2026: New Goals and More Cooperation
The agreement gives SAS passengers convenient access to more than ten additional Canadian destinations, including Vancouver, Calgary, and Halifax, on a single ticket and with baggage delivery to the final destination.
WestJet passengers will enjoy fast and convenient transit to Scandinavia and from there to cities across Europe via Copenhagen. In addition, the companies note that a collaboration in the area of loyalty clubs will be launched in the future, benefiting EuroBonus and WestJet Rewards members.
The collaboration will grow in the new year with the launch of a WestJet route between Halifax and Copenhagen in May, which is expected to strengthen connections between Eastern Canada and the Nordic region.
