SWISS announced that it will begin operating its new Airbus A350 aircraft on the Zurich-Seoul route, starting March 29, 2026, with the opening of the summer flight schedule.
This is the first long-haul destination in Asia to be operated using the new aircraft, following initial operations on European routes and the route between Zurich and Boston.

The cabin features advanced lighting tailored to passengers' conditions, aimed at reducing the effects of jet lag, alongside improved service and meticulous meal menus inspired by Swiss hospitality values.

The Zurich-Seoul route is currently operated by Airbus A340 aircraft. The South Korean capital will be added to SWISS's network in the summer of 2024. The flight time with the A350 is expected to be around 11 hours and 10 minutes, around 50 minutes shorter than the current aircraft, thanks to its lower weight, more powerful engines and higher altitude. SWISS operates three flights a week on the route, on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
