Romania's national carrier, TAROM, has expanded its network with a new commercial partnership with ITA Airways, offering additional travel options between Romania, Italy, and beyond.

TAROM's new public interline fares are already available for booking through the airline's sales offices and Call Center, as well as through travel agencies located both in Romania and overseas. Passengers will be allowed to combine TAROM flights with onward connections operated by ITA Airways via a single ticket.

The partnership focuses on routes between Romania and Rome, with smooth connections through Bucharest Otopeni and Rome Fiumicino. From there on, passengers will have the chance to continue on ITA Airways flights to a wide range of destinations across Italy and Europe.

The Italian network includes an impressive number of cities preferred by tourists, including Milan, Venice, Florence, Naples, Bologna, Turin, Palermo, Catania, Bari, Pisa, Cagliari, and Trieste, among others. Travelers can also connect to international destinations served by ITA Airways, including Barcelona, Malta, Geneva, Zurich, and Tirana.

Passengers will enjoy the added simplicity of booking the entire journey on one ticket, allowing coordinated connections and fewer headaches when plans change. Plus, they will have an easier time reaching smaller Italian cities without having to piece together separate bookings.

With this move, TAROM continues to build out its connectivity by working with other carriers, aiming to offer practical travel options rather than just point-to-point flights. For passengers, it means more destinations, fewer bookings to manage, and a smoother trip from start to finish.
