Miami International Airport announced yesterday (Sunday, February 1, 2026) significant flight delays and cancellations due to winter storm Gianna, which is expected to continue today (Monday, February 2, 2026).

"The combination of cancellations and record-low temperatures is also impacting baggage processing. Aitlune teams are working diligently to process passenger baggage as quickly as possible," explained the airport.

Passengers are advised to check the latest flight status directly with the airline before arriving at the airport.

"Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through these weather-related challenges", the airport concluded.
