After the private islands and beach clubs in the Bahamas, the concept of a luxury resort in a private complex is also coming to Europe. Cruise giant Royal Caribbean opened its first beach club on the continent this week.
The chosen destination is the island of Santorini, one of the most sought-after among the Greek islands. The first guests of the "Royal Beach Club" who arrived on the company's ship enjoyed the new treats there as part of the "Ultimate Santorini Day" program.
The company notes that the new complex, which will be available to guests of both Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises, includes shaded sunbeds, towels for guest use, unlimited food and drinks, and live music with a DJ during the day.

Regarding the typical crowding on the island during the summer months, when the project was announced at the end of 2025, Royal Caribbean said that travelers will be able to start their tours at three different locations, which reduces crowding and allows for maximizing the time spent enjoying the views.
As you may recall, the island suffered a significant drop in tourism last year, due to the earthquake wave that, while not causing any casualties and causing only minor damage, drove tourists away from the island. Now Santorini hopes that the crisis is behind us, and the opening of the new Royal Caribbean club is another tailwind and a positive sign for tourism this summer.
