Smartwings is set to significantly expand its operations from Prague Airport this October, launching two new European routes while also rolling out a broader winter schedule increase across its network.
The airline will introduce a new direct service between Prague and Venice, with flights starting on October 22. The route to Venice Marco Polo Airport will operate four times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, using Airbus A220 aircraft.

Alongside these new destinations, Smartwings is also strengthening its broader European network with a wide-ranging schedule expansion. From October, the airline will add or increase services on several established routes from Prague, including Brussels with up to 12 weekly flights, Barcelona with four weekly services, Porto twice weekly, Bucharest seven times weekly, and Rome four times weekly. New additions also include Toulouse and Bilbao, both operating twice a week.

Flights to Paris will increase to up to three times daily, while services to Malaga will rise to 12 weekly departures, reinforcing strong leisure and business travel links between the Czech capital and Western Europe.
According to Smartwings Commercial Director Michal Váňa, the expansion reflects the airline’s ongoing strategy to improve connectivity from Prague and broaden its destination portfolio. He said the carrier aims to offer “new interesting services for our clients” and make more European destinations easily accessible through direct flights.
The combined changes position Smartwings as one of the most active carriers at Prague Airport this winter season, offering a stronger mix of short-haul leisure routes and high-frequency European connections. The expansion is expected to support both outbound tourism and inbound travel to the Czech Republic during the winter travel period.
