Carnival Cruise Line has kicked off a nationwide series of America250 celebrations with a patriotic event aboard Carnival Pride at the Port of Baltimore, marking the start of festivities honoring the United States' 250th anniversary.

As an official America250 partner, the cruise line welcomed veterans, active-duty military personnel, first responders, local officials, business leaders and community partners to celebrate the historic milestone and recognize the strong ties between Carnival and its U.S. homeport communities.

"As America's cruise line, we're proud to celebrate America's 250th anniversary in our homeport cities," said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. "We're bringing people together to honor our nation, celebrate the local community and thank those who protect our freedom."

The celebration featured a 40-foot inflatable patriotic Uncle Sam hat displayed on the top deck of Carnival Pride during embarkation, while military personnel and veterans received limited-edition America250 challenge coins in recognition of their service.

Adding a family-friendly touch to the event, Dr. Seuss's The Cat in the Hat appeared in a patriotic-themed outfit for guests.

The Baltimore event marks the first in a series of America250 celebrations that Carnival will host throughout the summer in several U.S. homeports, including Long Beach, Tampa and Jacksonville.

Carnival Corporation's luxury British cruise line Cunard will give travelers the chance to be part of one of its most significant modern milestones as preparations continue for Queen Mary 2's landmark 450th transatlantic crossing later this year.

The luxury cruise line launched a sweepstakes with a head-spinning prize: the big winner and a guest will go aboard the historic voyage from Southampton to New York, departing on November 10 and arriving on November 17, 2026. The prize includes flights, hotel accommodation in Southampton, and port transfers.

Passengers across the fleet will also enjoy themed onboard activities, while several Carnival ships are scheduled to gather offshore to view Fourth of July fireworks displays along both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts.

Carnival Cruise Line operates from more U.S. homeports than any other cruise operator, making the America250 partnership a key part of its nationwide community engagement during the anniversary year.
