Qatar Airways. Photo: Shutterstock Qatar's flag carrier, Qatar Airways, has joined other airlines in displaying its winter schedule, and the list is impressive.
The award-winning airline will significantly expand its global network, reaching over 170 destinations during the 2026-2027 winter season. The company has announced additional flights and resumed services across Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Americas and the Middle East.
The winter schedule will include more than 186 weekly flights across the six regions, with the schedule reaching its highest peak at the end of the year, in December, when Qatar Airways plans nearly 1,800 weekly frequencies in total.
Among the most notable changes is the return of daily flights to Zanzibar, Tanzania, from October 25. Qatar Airways will also resume daily service to Canberra, Australia, via Melbourne from December 9. The airline is increasing its Melbourne service from seven to 14 weekly flights at the same time.
Flights to Johannesburg will rise from 14 to 18 weekly from December 2. The airline will increase its Seychelles service from four to seven weekly flights from March 1, 2027.
In North America, flights between Doha and Montréal will increase from five to seven per week from October 25, representing a 40% increase in seat capacity.
The airline is adding flights to several popular destinations across Asia Pacific.
From October 25, Phuket service will increase from 14 to 21 weekly flights, while flights to Malé in the Maldives will also rise from 12 to 21 weekly.
Ho Chi Minh City will increase from seven to 11 weekly flights from November 7, including the return of four direct weekly services between Doha and the Vietnamese city.
Kuala Lumpur will also receive more capacity, with Qatar Airways operating 18 weekly flights from October 25.
The return of daily Canberra flights via Melbourne from December 9 will reconnect Australia's capital with Qatar Airways' international network through Doha. The airline's current Canberra schedule lists the service via Melbourne before continuing to Doha.
Virgin Australia will also expand its services to Doha from Sydney, Brisbane and Perth from December.
Qatar Airways will raise London Heathrow flights from 49 to 56 weekly from October 25. Frankfurt will increase from 18 to 21 weekly flights from December 7.
The airline said its winter schedule reflects strong demand across its global network and is designed to provide passengers with more travel options through Doha's Hamad International Airport.
Qatar Airways is also bringing back services to four destinations in Saudi Arabia.
Flights to Qassim will resume on October 25, followed by Taif on October 31, Yanbu on January 2, 2027, and Tabuk on January 3.
Each destination will receive two weekly flights. The expansion will take Qatar Airways' Saudi Arabian network to 12 destinations and more than 155 weekly flights.
Alongside the network changes, Qatar Airways is continuing its Starlink rollout. The airline says up to 340 Starlink-equipped flights will operate daily, with the technology available across more than 150 widebody aircraft.
The new winter schedule is already available for booking through Qatar Airways' website and mobile app.
